Students in the Department of Forensic and Investigative Science can choose which major of study best fits their career interests – forensic biology, forensic chemistry, or forensic examiner. Each major also provides great preparation for graduate studies or professional programs such as dental, medical, and law school.
The forensic biology major prepares students for positions in forensic labs as DNA analysts and pathology assistants. In many forensic investigations, biologically-based evidence is the most critical piece to solving the case.

Forensic and Investigative Science (FIS) minor, with courses offered both online
and on campus. The FIS Minor benefit students in a variety of academic disciplines,
including criminal justice, political science, psychology, sociology, and history.
