Build Your Career in Forensic and Investigative Science

Our undergraduate programs stand above all universities nationally with dedicated faculty and the largest forensic science and crime scene training complex in the country.

Choose Your Course of Study

Students in the Department of Forensic and Investigative Science can choose which major of study best fits their career interests – forensic biology, forensic chemistry, or forensic examiner. Each major also provides great preparation for graduate studies or professional programs such as dental, medical, and law school.

Forensic Biology, B.S.

The forensic biology major prepares students for positions in forensic labs as DNA analysts and pathology assistants. In many forensic investigations, biologically-based evidence is the most critical piece to solving the case.

Forensic Examiner, B.S.

The forensic examiner major prepares students for positions as crime scene analysts, latent fingerprint examiners, firearms examiners, forensic photographers, evidence technicians, investigators, and law enforcement.
