
Jacob Hetzke

Jacob Hetzke is a first-year master's student working in Dr. Iyengar's research group. His research focuses on nucleic acid extraction methods, particularly for trace and degraded samples.
Jacob is a master's student from Coatesville, PA. He graduated from WVU in May 2024 with a B.S. in Forensic Biology. Over the summer of 2024, he worked as a research intern for Dr. Iyengar, assisting in the development of a novel nucleic acid protocol that allows for the analysis of multiple analytes. Jacob currently works as a graduate research assistant in the forensic biology laboratory
