Alexis Waggoner

MS Student

Lexi Waggoner is a second-year master's student working in Dr. Iyengar's research group. Her research focuses on a multi-analyte extraction method for trace biological samples typically encountered in sexual assault cases. 

Lexi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Toledo, with minors in Chemistry and Forensic and Investigative Science. During her undergraduate studies, she contributed to the resolution of a 50-year-old double homicide cold case!

Originally from Macomb, Michigan, just north of Detroit, Lexi is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In this role, she has taught BIOL 219L and is presently instructing CHEM 115L.
