Madison Lindung

Madison Lindung is a second-year master's student under Dr. Tatiana Trejos. Her research involves characterizing modern nail polish products as a form of trace evidence using analytical techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry (SEM-EDS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), and microscopic techniques by Polarizing Light Microscopy (PLM).

Madison is a Baltimore, MD native. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Forensic Chemistry from WVU in the Spring of 2023 with minors in Statistics and Criminology. As a departmental GTA, she has experience teaching courses such as Forensic Chemical Analysis, Introduction to Microscopy, Trace Evidence Analysis, Forensic Statistics Applications, and Expert Testimony Perspectives. After completing her education, she hopes to continue working in a research lab before eventually returning to academia to teach the next generation of forensic scientists.
