Leah Thomas

MS Student

Leah Thomas is a first-year master’s student working in Dr. Trejos’ research group. Her research focuses on the importance of trace evidence and specialized training for analysts in the US and Costa Rica.

Leah graduated from WVU in May of 2023 with degrees in Forensic Chemistry and Spanish. She began working with the Trejos group in 2022 on a project dedicated to improving the workflow for the detection of gunshot residue. Leah currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant within the department.
