2020 Summer Camp

The Next Generation Forensic Science Initiative will be hosting an introductory forensic science summer camp for high school students (9th –12th grade) for one week this summer. Through hands-on, experiential learning, participants will acquire the practical knowledge and skills that forensic scientists employ in their day-to-day casework. At the conclusion of the week, participants will take their newly acquired knowledge and skills and apply them to a mock crime scene at the Crime Scene Complex.

Where: The first 3 days of camp will be held at Oglebay Hall on the downtown campus. The last 2 days of camp will be held at the Crime Scene Complex on the Evansdale Campus.

When: The camp will be held June 14th-19th, 2020. Overnight camper check-in will be on June 14th.  Airport arrival on June 14, departure on June 20. Please see registration form for more information about flights.

What is the cost?

Option 1 - Day Camp Option 2 - Overnight Camp
$399  $949
Includes lunch each day, a t-shirt, and a certificate of attendance. Includes transportation to and from the airport, six nights supervised lodging, evening activities, breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, a t-shirt, and a certificate of attendance. This does not include airfare or any other transportation costs other than what has been described.

Registration is first come, first served. Each group will be limited to a maximum of 50 high school students.
