Oglebay Hall

The FIS program is housed in Oglebay Hall during the summer of 2007. The venerable old building is on the National Register of Historic Places and was built at the turn of the 20th century. It contains an old bank vault (the faculty and staff salaries were paid from this vault) and the old feel of the building has been retained through the modernization. The FIS program occupies the top two floors of the building. These floors house the forensic chemistry lab, instrumentation lab, the Cogent Systems computer lab, the microscopy lab, DNA labs and the fingerprint processing labs. There is also office space for faculty and staff. The Forensic Students Club have their own office and common area in the building. The scanning electron microscopy laboratory is on the ground floor of the building.
