Forensic & Investigative Science Program
Advising Information
Advising in the program is managed by Lori Britton. The academic advisor works with students personally from their sophomore year on. The academic advisor also works with our direct admit/Honors College students from their initial enrollment at the university. Students going through the pre-major are advised by WVU’s general advising office until they are sophomores.
Those being advised by the program will receive email notifications about when to schedule an appointment. Students are responsible for promptly replying and scheduling. Given the heavy load of appointments, it is difficult or impossible to schedule last-minute or same-day walk-in appointments.
In addition to general advising, students should seek career and academic advising from faculty in their area of emphasis. For more information and a list of area advisors, Click here...
Finally, students should take the initiative to plan their own classes and courses before seeking final advisement. The links below provide PDF checklists by semester for the most common curricula. These lists will be supplemented and updated as needed.
